Auckland College of Education was the college of education located in Auckland, New Zealand. In 1 September 2004 it amalgamated with a University of Auckland and formed a freshly Faculty of Education using a university’s School of Education.

A college got its origins around 1881 with the establishment of the Auckland Teacher Expert instruction College. A college’s Epsom campus was established in 1926. A college absorbed a Ardmore Teachers College (1974), Loretta Hall, Kindergarten Teachers College (1975) & N Shore Teachers College (1982). A college was referred to as Auckland Teachers College until 1985 while it merged by using a Secondary Teachers College to form a Auckland College of Education.

It established another campus around Whangarei, known as a Tai Tokerau Campus, & outposts at Kaikohe, Rotorua and Tokoroa.

Its preservice teacher education programmes involved degree & graduate programmes fro1000 either early childhood to secondary education, & kura river kaupapa Māori. It too offered 3rd qualifications inside social function, human being services & step by step training & development.
